Sensational snorkeling experience at "Lions' Cave" - Celebrities attract attention in lion conservation efforts.
Alina Hanauer (29) and her husband Chris Hanauer (33) from "Khroom" created an innovative snorkeling mask not too long ago. What sets their product apart from others is that there's no issue with CO2 build-up or pendulum breathing with their mask.
In Alina's own words, other snorkel masks could potentially be hazardous if the inhaled air is re-breathed: "Theoretically, this could lead to dizziness, unconsciousness, and even fatalities!"
The Hanauer couple is currently on the market and wants 350,000 euros for an eight percent stake in their company. So far, they've generated a 5.3 million euro turnover with a one million euro profit after taxes. Carsten Maschmeyer (65) is taken aback by such impressive numbers: "Absolutely superb. Congratulations!" The Hanauer family's goal is to have their product placed in retail chains like Lidl and Aldi.
Maschmeyer turns to Tillman Schulz (34) for guidance on what's possible with Lidl. He's convinced it can be done. However, Janna Ensthaler (40) and Ralf Dümmel (57) are also interested in the Hanauer's project. Ensthaler aspires to bring it to America as soon as possible.
Schulz, on the other hand, wants to go the extra mile and enlists the support of a well-known figure. He's the brother-in-law of former Borussia Dortmund player Lars Ricken (47) and hopes to have him promote their product. He envisions using Ricken for advertisements: "Imagine a celebrity wearing your mask and snorkeling a bit. How cool would that be?"
To one-up Schulz, Maschmeyer offers celebrities a bonus if they endorse their product with poster campaigns during specific seasons.
Shortly after, Maschmeyer, Schulz, Ensthaler, and Dümmel propose 400,000 euros for a ten percent stake in the company.
The founders of "Khroom" had narrowed down their preferred lions in advance and thus chose Carsten Maschmeyer and Tillman Schulz as their investors: "This is truly impressive. What a milestone!"
