Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has reached the age of 40. - Celebrating Birthdays in Super Style: The Nerd's Edition
On his 40th birthday, May 14, Mark Zuckerberg celebrated with wife Priscilla, their three kids, and some friends. Everyone gathered in the garden, and the man with a 150 billion euro fortune chose to wear jeans and a simple T-shirt. So, what does a man with such means want? He wanted a journey through his past!
Dr. Priscilla Chan, Mark's wife, threw an extraordinary party. She had some locations replicated that signified pivotal moments in the Meta founder's life. The Zuckerbergs have shared glimpses of this event with their 119 million Facebook followers and 13.8 million Instagram followers.
Two photographs are particularly captivating. In one, Mark is pictured in a confined space filled with old computers, commenting, "This was my childhood room where I learned to write code."
And there's more! Mark and Microsoft founder Bill Gates (68) share a snapshot on a miniature couch in a replica of his Harvard room, with Mark remarking, "My Harvard dorm room where I started Facebook (with special guest @thisisbillgates)." Gates, wearing shorts and sneakers, sits casually next to him.
The final photo features a simple yet small space with minimal furnishings. "My first apartment with just a mattress on the floor. I lived here until we had our first 100 million people," says Zuckerberg, reminiscing about his historic Facebook success.
Among all the moments from his past, there was something more significant - his family. He shared rare photos of their daughters - Aurelia (13 months), August (6), and Maxima (8).
Besides reflecting on his past, Priscilla had something to say about the party. "I'm not allowed to throw a birthday party for Mark, but the 40th was an exception. Friends and relatives were there, and they even got to make lighthearted speeches to him. There are many things you can say about him," she remarked.
Priscilla ended her message with, "I don't know what adventures await us, but I'm by his side. Here's to whatever comes next."
