Starting eleven debut results in a goal - Celebrating Bayern's homegrown prodigy as a "Mini-Modric"

Wonderful debut for Lovro Zvonarek!

At just 19 years old, Zvonarek played his first game for Bayern against Wolfsburg due to multiple injuries and absences post-Real match. The young talent scored the opening goal within four minutes, past the goalkeeper with a stunning low shot into the corner.

Zvonarek commented on his playing style: "My aim is always to play fearlessly."

He truly showcased this in his standout goal. He added, "Scoring that goal was a dream come true. The goal in front of the packed Allianz Arena was a crucial moment for me. Many players encouraged and advised me. Aleks particularly assisted me. We have a strong bond."

Even prior to joining Bayern in the summer of 2022, Zvonarek left his mark with a notable achievement in his native Croatia: at 16, he captained his team Slaven Belupo during a match. This feat earns him the title of the youngest captain in Croatian top-flight history.

Coach Thomas Tuchel, impressed with Zvonarek's performance, shared, "Lovro is a charming individual. Watch him walk onto the field or off it – that's how he practices. He's an all-around hard worker. He did an excellent job, scored a goal. There isn't anybody who can possibly resent his achievement because he's such a kind person."

Following his comments about Tuchel, Uli Hoeneß may be pleased with Zvonarek's goal-scoring debut and the premier outings of Matteo Perez Vinlöf (18) and Jonathan Asp Jensen (18), who were both replaced as substitutes. Tuchel joked, "I'm hoping…"

Bayern's third goalkeeper, Daniel Peretz, also made his Bundesliga debut, replacing Manuel Neuer (38) in the 74th minute. Neuer reacted, "We agreed on this, it was a token of appreciation for Daniel. My congratulations to everyone who played for the first time. Also to Lovro, who scored the goal right away, that was fantastic!"
