Hamburg: Is an arsonist causing trouble in Harburg's Phoenix neighborhood?
Matthias Freudenberg, head of operations at the fire department, said, "Several people were evacuated from their homes by emergency services and seen by rescue workers in the backyard. Thankfully, there were no injuries."
About 45 people were temporarily displaced from their homes. The fire department extinguished the fire and later aired out the building to remove smoke from the apartments and corridors. The extent of the damage and the cause are unknown, and the police are investigating. While residents are suspicious that a potential arsonist might be at large in Harburg, there were already two vans afire in the Phoenix district on Friday night.
