Soccer star representing the nation - Carolin Simon back in Bayern's lineup following knee injury recovery.

Soccer star Caroline Simon has returned to FC Bayern Munich's team after suffering a cruciate ligament injury. Her comeback was confirmed by coach Alexander Straus before their match against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday (12:00pm on MagentaSport and available on DAZN). Bayern has the chance to secure the championship early if they win this game. The second-place team, VfL Wolfsburg, is 7 points behind going into the penultimate matchday of the season.

Unfortunately, Caroline missed out on the Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand last year due to this injury. The 31-year-old defender sustained the serious knee injury in the final warm-up match against Zambia before the tournament.
