He ought to be imprisoned instead. - Camp leader of a "Reichsbürger king" surfaces.
Fitzek, a well-known figure in the Reichsbürger scene, owns not just three castles but also his very own bathing lake in Saxony-Anhalt. He loves spending his sunny days there. As a graduate cook and martial arts instructor, he established the fantasy state "Kingdom of Germany" (KRD) in 2012, earning the title of "King" from his followers. However, his reign has been tainted by numerous legal conflicts. He spent nearly two years behind bars in Halle.
Fitzek's most recent sentence came in July 2023 when he was found guilty of assaulting an employee of the Wittenberg district office and verbally abusing two soldiers of the Bundeswehr. But this sentence was thrown out due to his appeal. He was waiting for the Dessau Regional Court to reconvene for another round of hearings (4 NBs 394 Js 11964/22). Unfortunately, the presiding judge became ill, resulting in Fitzek's current freedom.
As one of the most prominent leaders of the Reichsbürger movement, Fitzek issues out his own passports, ID cards, and even a fantasy currency to himself and his "subjects." The business continues to thrive as he purchases more and more real estate with real euros.
In May 2023, Schachtsee Wolmirsleben in Magdeburg Börde, including the campsite, was added to the KRD's real estate portfolio. The former operator, Joachim Nöske (72), decided to sell the picturesque property due to ongoing disputes with authorities. Most recently, the Salzlandkreis threatened to close down the site and demand a substantial payment.
Nöske decided to retire, stating: "I have shut down the enterprise. Now the property is mine." He then transferred the management of the business to Peter Fitzek, the new tenant. Nöske, who gained popularity after the fall of the Berlin Wall as the "Red Light King" of Leipzig, noted: "Now, the Salzlandkreis must handle all matters with Fitzek in the future."
However, the duration of Fitzek's reign over the Schachtsee is uncertain. The judge who fell ill has returned to duty, and the Dessau Regional Court is now reviewing new hearing dates.
