Caesars Introduces Neteller Option for Online Gaming Platforms
One issue that's hindering the growth of legal internet gambling in the US is payment processing. Sites licensed in Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware are allowed by law, but many banks are hesitant to handle payments from these sites. Some have trouble telling regulated payments from those made to foreign casinos, while others just don't feel comfortable facilitating gambling-related transactions.
However, this situation is getting better. Caesars Entertainment has recently made it simpler than ever to use their sites for gambling in these states. They've entered into a deal with Optimal Payments, allowing them to offer Neteller services.
It's Live in New Jersey and Nevada
Customers in New Jersey and Nevada can already use the new service. Caesars is even promoting it as an option for their players in these states.
"We're really excited to launch Neteller in both New Jersey and Nevada right now," said Caesars Interactive Entertainment's senior vice president Marco Ceccarelli.
Optimal Payments has been offering some of the technology used for processing online payments for a while now, so this deal made sense.
Neteller is a popular choice for US players who want to transfer money to online casinos. It's an e-wallet that can be linked to a credit card or bank account. Then, you can use that 'wallet' to make deposits, and withdraw any winnings into it.
Caesars customers in Nevada and New Jersey can also use the Net+ Card. It's a prepaid card accepted anywhere MasterCard is, and you can load it with cash from your Neteller account.
"We're excited to help make transactions easier for Caesars' customers in regulated gaming markets with our Neteller and Net+ Card stored value solutions," said Optimal Payments' executive vice president of business development Neil Erlick.
New Payment Options For Caesars Players
Neteller isn't the only new payment method CIE has introduced lately. They're also allowing online transfers through a company called Mazooma, which lets players make these transactions without sharing any personal details on the gambling site. Plus, they've added PayNearMe, a service where cash vouchers can be bought at 7-Eleven and Family Dollar stores in New Jersey. These vouchers can then be used to make deposits.
"We realized we needed more payment choices to meet the demand, so we're hopeful that these new options will suit our users' requirements," Ceccarelli said.
