A British publication covers a story about... - By the week's end, will the Bayern coach's circumstances be made clear?
Bayern's continuous pursuit of a new coach is picking up pace!
Kompany, the ex-HSV player and former Manchester City captain (2008-2019), was once the head coach at RSC Anderlecht in Belgium. Not only did he end his playing career here, but he was also active as a player-coach during his final season.
Coming to the advantages, Kompany is fluent in German, making him a perfect fit for Bayern. Plus, his English is impressive, which was handy for Kane and the team during their stint at Bayern recently.
Bayern has rejected six potential candidates so far, including Xabi Alonso (42/Leverkusen), Julian Nagelsmann (36/DFB), Ralf Rangnick (65/Austria), Oliver Glasner (49/Crystal Palace), Tuchel following renewed discussions, and Roger Schmidt (57/Benfica Lisbon).
Some other coaches like Unai Emery (52/Aston Villa) have expressed a desire to continue with their clubs, while others like Julen Lopetegui (57) would rather work in the Premier League. There has also been no consensus with Roberto De Zerbi (44/Brighton) after discussions.
Will Kompany be the right choice for Bayern?
