Car movements - Buses and lorries: infractions in nearly every second checkup

In Saxony-Anhalt, law enforcers scrutinized trucks and buses for potential violations or defects. The Ministry of the Interior revealed 199 infringements from a total of 436 vehicles inspected during the Roadpol action week in late May. This alarming number was primarily focused on adherence to driving hours and rest periods, but also speeding infractions. Thirty-nine drivers faced bans on their journeys as a consequence of severe violations.

According to Tamara Zieschang, Interior Minister and a representative of the CDU, the efforts put in by the state police are crucial. She added that professional drivers must recognize the risks associated with fatigue while driving. Engaging in reckless behavior not only endangers them but also every other individual using the roads.
