Dramatic handball player transfer - Bundesliga team transforms from disreputable organization

### German Handball League Team Signs Athletic Pivot From Controversial Club

TVB Stuttgart has just signed Croatian player Gianfranco Pribetic for two and a half more years. The 24-year-old will join the club until June 30, 2026.

Pribetic is leaving Croatian first division club RK Nexe, which has recently been in the spotlight for the wrong reasons. Earlier this year, an incident at an RK Nexe and RK Zagreb match led to the game being called off due to assault charges against Marko Bezjak, a former player of RK Nexe and Magdeburg. Bezjak is now facing a year-long suspension.

The pivot says he's thrilled to be signing with Stuttgart: "I'm ecstatic about my time at TVB Stuttgart. My goal is to contribute to the team's success in the future. I can't wait for my first home game at the Porsche Arena!"

Jürgen Schweikardt, TVB's managing director, expresses his excitement about the new player, adding, "Gianfranco is a talented pivot who can perform both offensively and defensively. He also brings a great deal of international experience for his young age. We're excited to have him in our team."

Meanwhile, another Croatian player, Marino Maric, will be leaving TVB after this season. The circle player, signed in the winter, is also moving on. Jürgen Schweikardt had this to say about Maric, "Marino was a trustworthy, positive, and much-loved teammate and person during his stay with us. His routine and cleverness played a vital role in giving us stability in our offense."

TVB Stuttgart is set to face off against HC Erlangen on the next-to-last matchday, which is on Wednesday at 7 pm. The match will be aired live on Dyn.
