He should be aware - Bundesliga team leader discusses Glasner and Bayern!
Bayern's efforts to entice sports director Max Eberl to bring Stefan Glasner to the club have been unsuccessful. Glasner's current team in England refuses to let him go, despite Glasner's desire to join.
There has been discussion regarding the compatibility of Glasner and Bayern. However, someone with firsthand experience has vouched for their potential match. The captain of Eintracht Frankfurt, who will be retiring after the Leipzig game on Saturday, has had experience playing for both Glasner and Bayern.
Rode, a former Bayern star, was Glasner's right-hand man as captain during Frankfurt's successful Europa League season. He also helped win two championships and one DFB Cup for Bayern under Pep Guardiola's tutelage. Given his firsthand experience with Glasner and Bayern, Rode is confident that Glasner would be a good fit.
"You could see that with us in Frankfurt, especially during our successful Europa League season, and you're also seeing it now at Crystal Palace where he's already helped secure some important victories. That's why I could imagine him at Bayern," said Rode.
Despite their efforts this summer, Bayern will not be able to sign Glasner. However, Rode's endorsement could potentially come into play again.
