At least there's that...

While the reigning champions Germany won't be making an appearance in the upcoming European Championships, there are still some fantastic German prospects from the Bundesliga to keep an eye on. A whopping five players from FC Bayern's youth squad have been invited to the U17 European Championships.

Out of all the countries, Austria has the most representatives from the Bundesliga. An impressive six players from the German youth system will be competing for the ÖFB.

Two players from Austria that will be participating in the U17 European Championships are Florian Hangl and Mauro Hämmerle, both of whom play for FC Augsburg. In an interview with FCA, striker Hämmerle shares his enthusiasm: "We're going to the European Championships with Austria and are among the best 16 teams in Europe." He continues, "It's a dream come true, not everybody gets the chance to qualify for a European Championship, and Austria hasn't always been there so it's even more special."

The Most Priceless Player at the U17 European Championships

Quarterfinals

This player hails from outside the Bundesliga! Francesco Camarda (16) is AC Milan's star striker hope. He even debuted in the Serie A in November. With an estimated value of around 10 million euros, no other player is as valuable as Camarda. Italy hopes that he can help lead them to the title.
