A 24-year-old driver was stopped by officers, who initially found just a carton of cigarettes in the passenger area. But upon further inspection of the vehicle, they discovered more cigarettes in various hidden spots such as under the front passenger seat, the center armrest, beneath the cup holder trim, and underneath the vehicle trim in the footwell. In total, they seized an astounding 3960 cigarettes.

The authorities arrested the Bulgarian and charged him with tax evasion. He was fined over 1000 euros for import duties and faced additional investigation by the criminal investigation department of the main customs office in Ulm.
