Homes are being cleared - Break in a water pipe creates flooded street
Starting today, a significant portion of the street is submerged in water. The underground train station is also flooded.
The Sonnenallee is blocked in both directions between Zigrastraße and Braunschweiger Straße. Moreover, the authorities have set up a barrier. The Berlin Waterworks have ceased water flow at the affected location, preventing the water from continuing to push through.
Furthermore, there are rumors that the water supply in several apartments in the area surrounding the Sonnenallee S-Bahn station has been halted. The exact duration of the closure is uncertain as of now.
Additionally, a structural engineer will examine the stability of the house walls adjacent to the break point as stones were ejected and there's a hole in the house wall.
