What is the financial value of Kompany to the club's owners? - Bayern's plans for the sacked coach.

Munich have come to terms with 38-year-old Vincent Kompany. Executive directors Max Eberl (50) and Christoph Freund (46) have met with the Belgian in person.

However, the most pressing issue now is the transfer fee. Everyone is inquisitive about how much Kompany would cost?

The truth is that Kompany has a mammoth contract with Burnley until 2028. As a result, it's implied in England that the relegated Premier League team would ask for a hefty fee. There's chatter of 20 million pounds (around 23.5 million euros), while Bayern's top-level representatives have stated they're comfortable paying only up to 10 million euros. A compromise is possible.

It's important to note that when Bayern previously attempted to recruit Oliver Glasner (49), Crystal Palace wanted a whopping 100 million euros! At that time, Bayern was ready to offer up to 18 million euros. This news must have spread as far as England.

Burnley's manager Alan Pace (55) is close friends with Kompany, and as such, he's unlikely to cause any roadblocks. René Maric (31), Bayern's U19 coach, and Kompany are being considered as possible assistant coaches. The two spent their youth in Belgium together and are familiar with each other.

A plausible alternative: Holger Seitz (49), the current Bayern U23 instructor, is also under consideration. For his position, Bayern seeks a coach with a proven track record in fostering talent, such as Aleksandar Pavlovic (20) and Josip Stanisic (24). Why would Bayern care about a relegated manager? Kompany was a top prospect from the get-go. Eberl and Freund consider him highly. Ever since his promotion in 2023, he was seen as the next big thing in football, drawing interest from various clubs.

Kompany shares a similar playing style as Pep Guardiola (53), having played under his guidance at Man City from 2016 to 2019. Kompany's approach to controlling the match, possession soccer, constructing from the defense, moving full-backs forward, and playing the keeper fits Bayern's new game plan well. Guardiola considers Kompany a top-notch communicator and a promoter of young players. Bayern wants to duplicate these qualities in their coach. Kompany's players have often found him easy to socialize with. This will be advantageous in the notorious Bayern dressing room.

The retired international (89 caps, 2014 and 2018 World Cup member) is fluent in English and proficient in German. After several seasoned coaches (Tuchel, Heynckes, Ancelotti, and Guardiola), Bayern is seeking a young, invigorating face with potential. One of Kompany's staunchest supporters is Guardiola, who once told a journalist, "One day he will sit here and represent Manchester City."

Though, only if the transfer fee aligns with Bayern's budget...
