Regarding his nomination for the European Championship. - Bayern receives a French observer for Coman.

On a Monday, coach Thomas Tuchel decided to let the Bayern team take a well-deserved day off after their 2-0 win against VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga.

However, Kingsley Coman (27) did not follow the rest of the team, instead opting to train individually at the training ground. He was accompanied by rehab coach Simon Martinello (39). Coman sported his brand-new Bordeaux red training kit as he ran across the field, while Martinello remained in a red shirt with neon orange stripes on the sideline.

So, who was the man in the dark blue tracksuit observing from the sidelines?

National team coach Didier Deschamps (55) took interest in Coman's progress. He was curious if he could include the Bayern star in the European Championship squad taking place in Germany from June 14 to July 14.

Deschamps, eager to gather information and impressions from Munich, sent his fitness trainer Moine (whose actual name is unknown) to their training facilities.

Coman had recently suffered an injury, tearing the muscle bundle in his right adductor. Due to this, he's been out for four weeks. Prior to this, he missed games due to a fiber tear in his right calf, muscular problems, and a torn inner ligament in his left knee requiring surgery. He's expected to finish his rehab process in about two weeks.

Despite the imminent end of his rehab, Coman is not at full fitness. He'll be ready for the championships' kick-off; France first plays against Austria in Group D that includes Poland and the Netherlands on June 17th.

Moine, a French national brought on board by Deschamps in 2019, had played an integral role in the 2022 World Cup and the final in Qatar. Before joining Deschamps' team, he served FC Nantes. As a player, he spent his time as an attacking midfielder or a right-back, especially in Dijon.

What were some other activities happening in Säbener Straße that day?

Noussair Mazraoui (26) opted to rest during the match against VfL Wolfsburg. The following day, he partook in an intense running session with fitness director Broich at lunchtime.

Mazraoui is recovering from a torn bundle in his left calf (from December 2023) as well as a torn fiber in his left thigh (from February 2024). Additionally, Ramadan - a fasting month - began on March 10th, contributing to his delayed fitness recovery.

Meanwhile, defensive masterpiece Tarek Buchmann (19), who has sustained four thigh injuries this season, ran laps bright and early that same day.
