Leon Goretzka, a prominent figure at Bayern Munich, is attending Bochum's relegation game against Fortuna Düsseldorf () to show support for his old team.
Instead of wearning a typical T-shirt or sweater, he dons the iconic, vibrant Bochum jersey from the 90s, which gained much attention.
Photographs of Goretzka mingling with fans circulated on social media prior to the match. The Bayern midfielder, who wasn't selected by national coach Julian Nagelsmann for the European Championship, enthusiastically participated in these interactions.
Goretzka began his football journey in Bochum and later played for Schalke for €3.25 million in 2013 before joining Bayern for €37 million in 2018. Still, he has not forgotten his roots, evident from his presence today to cheer on his former team.
