Just 32 striker goals, yet 16 distinct goalscorers contributed. - Bayer claimed the title through gunfire.

Bayern's forwards managed to net only 32 goals this season, placing them ninth in the league - not ideal for a top team. With 64 striker goals, they were surpassed by Vize-Meister Stuttgart's 63.

The lack of goals from the forwards was partly due to Victor Boniface's (23, 14 goals) four-month absence due to an adductor injury.

However, Bayer didn't let the absence of their top strikers affect their overall performance. Apart from Borja Iglesias (31) and defender Edmond Tapsoba (25, three goals in cup competitions), every other starting field player managed to score at least one league goal.

Distributes among 16 shooters, they secured the second spot in the goal-scoring ranking.

The team with the most goal-prone defense was Bayer with 19 goals conceded.

Leverkusen's midfielders took the lead, scoring a total of 36 goals, beating second-placed Leipzig's 22 goals.

Leverkusen's exceptional wing-backs included Alejandro Grimaldo (28, ten goals) and Jeremie Frimpong (23, nine goals and assists each).

This team often found themselves up against opponents who defended deep and tight, leading to Alonso's masters at taking long-range shots. With 227 long-range efforts, they were at the top in the league. Out of these, 11 ended up in the back of the net, matching the league's highest record.

Among the top-distance shooters were Grimaldo, Granit Xhaka (31, three goals), and Jonas Hofmann (31, two goals).

Concerning goals scored with the ball at rest, Leverkusen led the league with 21, whereas Bayern could only manage 11 in the 2022/23 season. In addition, Leverkusen improved significantly from the previous season by scoring ten goals from corners, rising from their third-place position. Tah (28) scored many of these goals, earning him the league lead.
