Third-tier competition: - Bauer set to intensify rivalry at KSC
Karlsruher SC, a second-division soccer club, has added a new player to their roster - Benedikt Bauer. The 20-year-old defender is joining the team for free after playing for SpVgg Unterhaching in the third division. KSC made the official announcement on Tuesday. The length of Bauer's contract is yet to be revealed.
Sebastian Freis, the Head of Professional Football at KSC, shared his thoughts on the new signing: "We're thrilled to have a rising star like Benedikt Bauer on our team. He's an excellent player that can compete for both full-back spots, which will raise the bar for our current players." Bauer, who is a two-time U20 international, unfortunately had to miss several games this season due to a knee injury.
