Thrilling explanation - Ban on jump for 96-Dehm

Performing a backflip, I ask you to imagine Dehm's actions on the football field!

Ban on cheering for 96's star, Dehm!

Born in Bruchsal, 30 kilometers away from Karlsruhe, Dehm wishes to score in his hometown. "A match win here would be perfect," smiles Dehm. So far, the only time he scored and cheered was in the 3:0 victory in Magdeburg.

However, he will skip the celebrations in Karlsruhe, "I won't do my backflip here. KSC is my home club."

Dehm played soccer and tennis at FC Untergrombach, also participated in gymnastics. When he was 13, he joined KSC, where he turned professional. On August 2, 2015, he had his second debut in KSC uniform against St. Pauli. His current teammate and 96 player, Marcel Halstenberg (32), scored the 2:1 winning goal for KSC at that time.

Dehm explains, "KSC holds a significant place in my heart. I learned to play football here and made my first second division appearance. The bond between me and Karlsruhe will always remain."

Clearly, KSC vs 96 is more than just a fight for 5th position for him. "This match holds a special place for me," stresses Dehm. "My family lives in Bruchsal, most of my friends reside there. I have reserved a lot of tickets in advance. It wasn't easy to get them because the game will be sold out. Approx. 40-50 of my friends will watch the game at Wildpark."

Stindl, his inspiration!

Additional feeling: Dehm's former inspiration is retiring from football on Sunday. Lars Stindl (35) will perform his last home game.

Dehm adds, "Lars was an inspiration for us young players at KSC and served as a figure shaping my career. He is from the region and progressed from the KSC youth team to professional levels."

They last met face-to-face during winter vacation in Dubai.

The 96 defender continues, "We're full of hunger, aiming for great achievements in Karlsruhe and against Kiel, taking the momentum from the victory against Paderborn forward. Carlsruhe is doing well, but we aspire to overtake them."

In case you didn't know, a goal from Dehm isn't sufficient to surpass KSC. To replace KSC in 5th place, a win necessary with a minimum 2-goal difference.
