Bally's and Carnival Partner on Rewards Program
Carnival Cruise Line has partnered with Bally's gaming company to attract customers who love loyalty programs. Bally's Rewards members can now enjoy benefits on Carnival's 27 ships, including special events and discounted or free cruises for Legend, SuperStar, and Star tier members. This partnership aims to expand the reach of both companies, as Carnival sells from 14 ports in the US, while Bally's operates 15 casinos across 10 states.
Carnival has been working to serve those guests who are also gamblers. Back in September, they partnered with Galaxy Gaming to bring the company's progressive table games to their ships, with all 27 of Carnival's vessels offering various forms of wagering. Carnival also owns several other brands such as Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, Cunard, P&O Cruises, and Seabourn.
The collaboration with Bally's is another example of the cruise industry trying to capitalize on synergy between gambling and cruising. Carnival's senior vice president of global casino operations, Marty Goldman, was quoted as saying, "We're committed to our Carnival Players Club guests and in Bally’s, we have a partner that values its own loyal guests with the same fervor. We have plenty of fun to go around across our fleet, so we're excited to bring Bally’s on board with us and look forward to growing this unique partnership."
A month before this announcement, Hard Rock International and Royal Caribbean Group unveiled a deal that would allow members of their respective loyalty programs to earn points by betting, dining, shopping, and traveling at participating Hard Rock venues or on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity ships.
Hard Rock International is the gaming arm of Florida's Seminole Tribe and is known as one of the largest Tribal casino operators in the US. Royal Caribbean is Carnival's main competitor.
With these partnerships, the cruise industry is harnessing the excitement of loyalty programs and catering to guests who enjoy both traveling and gambling.
