Fury directed toward soccer icon. - Ballack received booing at the trophy presentation!
"Things didn't go smoothly..."
Michael Ballack was invited by Bayer Leverkusen to bring the trophy during the DFB Cup final match between themselves and Kaiserslautern, a team he also played for in his career.
Before the game, he expressed his love and dedication to Leverkusen: "Bayer is the club I spent the most time in. I had a great time there. Leverkusen holds a special place in my heart."
However, the Kaiserslautern fans didn't take this well.
To rub salt on their wounds, Ballack displayed the cup to the stands where Leverkusen's supporters were located, causing a mix of reactions from them.
In total, Ballack played 155 games for Leverkusen, and only 57 games for Kaiserslautern.
