In the cradle: - Babies Ezra is sadly killed by the family's pet dog.

The story took place in Knoxville, Tennessee, where Chloe and Mark Mansoor lived. Everything was great in the middle of April as they welcomed their newborn, Ezra, into the world. They brought their baby home and life seemed perfect.

Six weeks later, on May 24th, tragedy struck. While Ezra was sleeping in his crib, the dog, a Husky, bit into the baby's head. He was rushed to the hospital, suffering from a severe brain hemorrhage. Ezra battled for six days before he passed away.

The Mansoors shared their story with the media, highlighting that their dog had never been aggressive before. Chloe, the mother, added that any dog can attack without warning: "it can happen anytime, completely groundlessly, regardless of its past." She explained that being Ezra's mother was the best thing that ever happened to her. After discussing with her husband, they decided to donate their son's intact organs to potentially save the lives of other babies.

A friend of the family started a GoFundMe campaign to help financially support them, raising about $9,000 or 8,300 euros for medical bills and the funeral.

The Husky is now in the custody of the Knox County Sheriff's Office and is being held at the Young Williams Animal Center in an isolated quarantine, as required by Tennessee law. The Animal Center's spokesperson stated this is the law when a dog bites a person.

As per Mark, the dog hadn't displayed any aggression before the incident.
