Watching video clips and images. - Authorities probe into Cologne stadium controversy
Back in 20 minutes during the FC's home match against Union Berlin (3:2), the FC Ultras ignited an uproar when they attacked Cologne's Lord Mayor, Henriette Reker (67), with a distasteful poster.
Quick to take action, the mayor immediately filed charges for a range of offenses over the weekend. The investigation kicked off on Monday. It involves insulting someone based on their sexual orientation. The state security is now involved.

It's becoming evident that the ultra group "Wilde Horde" is responsible for the distasteful poster. Even their symbol (Horde 1996) appeared on the banner with the offensive message. Since the banner was only displayed during the match, it's likely the perpetrators will be visible in the footage.
The writing on the Horde banner read: "Henriette may not be a GILF, but we're f***ing her anyway." This is undoubtedly one of the most offensive things displayed in a Bundesliga stadium in recent times.
This incident is connected to Reker's involvement in the expansion of the training facility at Geißbockheim. The FC has desperately wanted and planned this for years, but have had no success. Adding to the tension was Reker initially supporting the expansion, only to change her mind and hinder the FC's project.
