In the upscale town of Kampen, a group of youths captured themselves indulging in debauchery at the popular pub "Pony" during the Whitsun holiday, belting out "Germany for the Germans, foreigners out!" alongside the song by Italian DJ Gigi D'Agostino (56).
One attendee, sporting a white top, pontificates with two fingers against his lips, hints at a Hitler 'stache, and performs a mock Hitler salute with his arm repetitively.
The police are diligently scrutinizing the footage. "A video of people partying on #Sylt is currently making the rounds on social media. We are aware of this video and are examining it for potential criminal content," the police posted on platform X. "We appreciate your numerous tips, which we are forwarding to the appropriate authorities."
Scrutiny into incitement
The Intelligence Police Division has launched an inquiry into incitement to hatred and the utilization of unconstitutional symbols.
The criminal proceedings initiated by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Flensburg (Schleswig-Holstein) and the police are, at present, directed against those who seem to be singing in harmony with the aforementioned slogans or using the license plates featured in the video. Nevertheless, it is conceivable that other suspects in the footage may be added to the case.
Charges impending
The investigator elaborated: "It depends on which individuals can be identified on the video. We have actions planned imminently. That's now taking place. We are still unaware of who filmed the video."
The tavern disavowed the guests on Friday night and announced repercussions. The venue owners took to Instagram, expressing their "great disgust" over the video. "We are against any form of racism and discrimination."
