Clever notion! - Audience members can participate in real-time transmissions.

Dyn users can now take part in the action during Easycredit Basketball Bundesliga's live streams by choosing an "Employee of the Week" from among the commentators, hosts, and analysts. This isn't a live appearance – instead, they'll receive a video call from the Dyn editorial team during their broadcast. If the picked professional doesn't answer within five seconds, they're expected to use a certain word in their next appearance.

Spectators can select this word and send it to Dyn through social media. The team will choose which word is assigned to each individual. Choosing words with the least connection to the commentators is the goal.

Cool idea! Your input can affect live broadcasts

The system doesn't allow racist, sexist, or other inappropriate terms from the start.

The initial "Employee of the Week" was Michael Körner (56), a commentator. Although he answered the call on time, he still wanted to mention the selected word.

The chosen word was "weirder flex." Sebastian Meichsner, the presenter, informed him of its meaning right before the Ulm vs. Oldenburg (matchday 33) game: "When you brag about something that's not that impressive. For example, if I said I threw three electric scooters into the Danube on the way here, you'd say that's a weird flex."

Before the end of the first quarter, Körner uttered the word on-air: "He aspires to be a top scorer. That'd be a pretty weird flex."

Next up was commentator Chris Schmidt. He didn't answer during the Ludwigsburg vs. Hamburg (91:78) play-in game on Thursday. He had a feeling of what was coming, so he politely asked viewers not to use any inappropriate words.

Fortunately, they didn't have to worry about that. The Dyn editorial team faced a tough decision between "Rasen," "Sneakerhead," "Fortnite," "Edeka," "Cevapcici," "Schmackofatz," or "Erzbischof."

Viewers, choose wisely!
