Attempted murder at Venetian Resort, Las Vegas during a company picnic.
A previous worker intentionally shot the deputy casino manager of the renowned "Venetian Hotel & Casino Resort" at a business picnic. The table games manager also sustained critical injuries. The criminal is still at large.
This event bears a striking resemblance to a nightmare: as per employees present, 42-year-old ex-employee Anthony Wrobel appeared in Sunset Park towards the end of the company picnic. Under the pretext of wanting to surprise his former colleagues, he inquired about the location of the management staff. Following the hunt for the relevant pavilion, he proceeded to the table and drew a gun.
In close range, with no warning, Wrobel fired aimed shots to the chest and head, mercilessly executing the 54-year-old deputy casino manager Mia Banks. Hector Rodriguez, the table games manager, managed to survive his severe gunshot wounds. According to announcements from Sunrise Hospital Nevada, he is now out of danger.
Anthony Wrobel escaped the scene after the shooting and is presently a fugitive. Per the authorities' press conference, the FBI is likewise searching for the violent offender. In Nevada, Wrobel could potentially face the death penalty.
Act of vengeance from spite

Wrobel's car, a purple and black Dodge, was located at McCarran Airport shortly after the crime; nevertheless, investigators do not believe Wrobel has exited the country.
Authorities view the Wrobel case not as the ramblings of a lunatic. Initial crime scene analyses indicate a meticulously planned attack by a cold-blooded killer and psychopath. Lieutenant Robert Plummer of the police commented on the motive for the crime, suggesting it might be an act of vengeance from petty resentment and ascertaining Wrobel's guilt for base reasons.
The police officer considers Wrobel to be a "disgruntled employee, unsuited in his circumstances, who resorted to violence to solve a personal issue." He also refers to this as a "model case of workplace violence." Nonetheless, the officer is convinced that a random act of violence can be ruled out.
$50,000 bounty
Both Hector Rodriguez, who was seriously wounded, and Mia Banks, who was assaulted to death, are regarded as employees of the Venetian Resort since its inception in 1999. The suspect, Anthony Wrobel, was employed at the Venetian luxury resort on the Las Vegas Sunset Strip for over fifteen years. In a statement, the Las Vegas Sands Corporation conveyed their profound distress:
"Mia and Hector have been an integral part of Venetian since inception. As leaders and members of our Las Vegas community, they have consistently contributed the best to the Venetian and our Palazzo. Our sympathies go out to the families and all those affected by this pointless act of violence."
The Las Vegas Sands Corporation is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the suspect's apprehension. The families of both victims will also receive assistance during the "challenging times" ahead, particularly in terms of their privacy. A police psychologist is presently counseling the Venetian employees present at the company picnic.
