Early indications pointed towards a major career path. - At the age of 14, Tyson Fury fractured his father's ribs.

Oleksandr Usyk (37) is all set to face the power of Tyson Fury (35) this weekend. The much-anticipated boxing match between these two superstars will determine the sole heavyweight champion. At stake are all four major world championship belts (WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO) in this mega-fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

John Fury (59), Tyson's father (of five children), knew early on that his son's fists would lead to a worldwide career. The elder Fury saw his son's punching strength at a young age.

In his autobiography "Behind the Mask," the WBC champion recalls a time when he was 14 and beat up his father.

Fury says of his father, who had 13 professional fights (8 wins) in his youth, "He was still trying to stay in shape, training in our shed on a bag. We talked about his career. I jokingly told him I'd seen him on video, and he wasn't that impressive."

Fury Sr. responded, "Let's put on the gloves and see how well you fare against me."

In his book "Under the Mask," Tyson shares what happened next. "I thought he was going to land a right, but instead, I threw a left hook. Pow! I heard his ribs crack, but he came back at me. I continued to dominate him and ultimately convinced him to rest so I could more easily overpower him."

It was around this time that John Fury realized his son's potential and consistently supported him. Tyson made his professional debut in 2008, and 7 years later, he dethroned the then-world champion Wladimir Klitschko (48).

If Fury triumphs over Usyk in the fight of the century on Saturday, he will undoubtedly be considered the greatest boxer of our time.
