Anne Hathaway discloses five-year sobriety milestone.
Anne Hathaway initially disclosed her choice to abstain from drinking on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show," stating at the time that she desired to be completely attentive and present to her young child.
During a recent conversation with The New York Times, Hathaway discussed her well-being and being in her forties.
"I usually don't speak about it, but I've been sober for more than five years now," she admitted to The New York Times. "That's a significant milestone for me. Forty feels like a blessing. I'm hesitant to call anything 'middle age' since I'm a linguistics stickler, and I might get hit by a car tomorrow. We can't be certain if this is the middle age. We know nothing," she added.
In addition to discussing her sobriety and age, Hathaway also hinted at the possibility of a third "The Princess Diaries" film.
When inquired about a potential Princess Diaries 3, she straightforwardly stated, "Yes."
Hathaway had previously expressed that a third film wasn't an option and that the movies were in her past.
Hathaway's forthcoming film, "The Idea of You," will be available on Prime Video on May 2. She portrays Solène, a divorced mother who ends up falling in love with a significantly younger man who is famous.
The film, directed by Michael Showalter, is based on Robinne Lee's romance novel and also stars Nicholas Galitzine.
