A 30-year-old woman from Siegburg, near Cologne, hit two parked cars while driving a VW Golf through Troisdorf on Wednesday night at around 10:20 pm. She swerved off the road and crashed into the parked vehicles near the waterworks.

A passerby saw the accident and called emergency services, quickly reaching out to help the injured driver. The following day, police reported that she had taken shelter in a nearby entrance. At first, rescuers tended to her injuries. However, officers later found out that she had been drinking and didn't have a valid driver's license. Consequently, they filed charges against her.

The woman was transported to the hospital with only minor injuries. Authorities took a blood sample from her and held on to the Volkswagen Golf for further forensic investigation. Preliminary damage estimates stand at approximately 14,500 euros.
