Based on reports from "Focus Online," Alexander Escher, a mechatronics engineer ranked 3rd, is the suspected individual in an accusation. In the Thuringian municipal elections on Sunday, he obtained 1036 votes, achieving the 4th-best result among AfD candidates and being re-elected to the city council. Another case involves the restaurant "Dachshöhlen" owned by Peter End. During a Christmas party a few months later, Escher allegedly loudly exclaimed "Heil Hitler," causing all guests to hear it. The host subsequently expelled the AfD city council from the restaurant, as detailed in the report.

Focus Online states that the AfD city council refutes the claims as "false."
