Renowned author Paul Auster, known for his "New York" trilogy, passed away at the age of 77 due to lung cancer. The news of his death was shared by "The Guardian."
Hailing from Newark, New Jersey, Auster studied at Columbia University before moving to Paris in the early 1970s to work as a translator. However, the marriage didn't last long.

In 1985, Auster made a big impact with the release of "City of Glass," the initial book in his "New York" trilogy, along with "Drop Shadow" (1986) and "Behind Closed Doors" (1987).
