"Farmer searches for a spouse among the modern agriculturalists" - Always celebrating Christmas with a particular candidate.
On Monday evening, skilled matchmaker Inka Bause (55) introduced the latest crop of farmers. In line with the show's twentieth season, twenty solitary, hopeful hearts are searching for love this time around. And these candidates are pretty out of the ordinary.
For Saskia (35) from Lower Saxony, it's Christmas every day. This dedicated animal-lover only cultivates Christmas trees on her 30-hectare farm, which she tends to with immense care. Saskia gushes, "It's my life. And I wouldn't give it up for anything." Delighting people with Christmas trees brings her great joy.
However, Saskia has one big desire. She says, "I'm searching for a guy who can make my heart sparkle." He needs to be athletic and enjoy animals. This farmer's wife also has ponies, pygmy goats, runner ducks, and even five alpacas.
In her leisure time, Saskia enjoys going for a run and has even completed half-marathons. She was previously married but has been single for about a year. Saskia proclaims, "I'm absolutely prepared for a new love now."
More hopeful romantics also seek companionship...
In the Upper Palatinate, senior citizen Heiner (70) is on the hunt for a new love interest. He is a riding instructor who breeds sport horses. His philosophy is, "If you rest, you rust." He does yoga daily to maintain his fitness and would like to practice it with his future spouse. Heiner confesses, "I've been single for more than 20 years."
This gentleman is bound to get the attention of many young women: Yannik (22) from Baden-Württemberg is passionate about farming and has an eccentric pursuit. He orchestrates the creation of new schnapps and liqueurs with his grandfather. This full-time tool mechanic doesn't have it easy with the ladies. He remarks, "It's trickier to meet women when you're as quiet and reserved as I am."
Like all the other contestants in the present season of "Farmer seeks wife", Yannik is now eagerly anticipating numerous love letters.
