Panem Backstube GmbH, a company located in Bleicherode, issued a warning on Wednesday evening about mixed bread rolls sold in 540-gram packaging. These rolls, specifically "Gut&Günstig Mixed Bread Rolls for Baking at Home" and "Kornmühle Mixed Bread Rolls for Baking at Home," may pose a risk and should not be consumed. The company's cautionary statement referred to the potential danger as a preemptive measure for ensuring customer safety.

The affected products have minimum shelf life dates ranging from the beginning to May 30, 2024. The omitted areas where "GUT&GÜNSTIG Mixed Bread Rolls for Baking at Home" were available include Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Hamburg, Bremen, Berlin, Brandenburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Lower Saxony, and parts of North Rhine-Westphalia. The "Kornmühle Mixed Bread Rolls for Baking at Home" were distributed to all parts of Germany through Netto Marken-Discount.

Unused and uneaten products with the specified minimum shelf life dates can be exchanged for a refund at the supermarkets without requiring the shopper to present a cash register receipt.
