Dangerous items collide in vicinity of Limburg. - Alarm for poison detection on A3 roadway leaves two hurt.
Police say an accident involving a hazardous substance transporter and another truck occurred between Bad Camberg and Limburg, Hesse. The driver of the hazardous goods truck was seriously injured while the other driver also sustained injuries.
In a preliminary investigation, some of the toxic substance leaked during the collision. Firefighters were called to the scene and sealed off the area while wearing protective suits. Authorities have yet to identify the specific hazardous material but assure the public that there is no danger.
The highway has been shut down in both directions, causing significant traffic disruption. The police are advising motorists to avoid the area.
