It's great to have you here! - ABBA honored with Swedish knighthood

On a Friday, Agnetha Fältskog (74), Benny Andersson (77), Björn Ulvaeus (79), and Anni-Frid Reuss (78) came together in public at the Swedish Royal Palace. This isn't a common occurrence for these four musicians.

They all looked fabulous! Anni-Frid wore a wide, white pantsuit, Agnetha donned a cream-colored dress, and Björn and Benny opted for stylish blue suits.

During the formal ceremony for ABBA, King Carl Gustaf of Sweden (78) and Queen Silvia (80) were present and active in recognizing this iconic band.

Before the event, the King shared with "Swedish Radio": "We will undoubtedly participate in this type of tribute to ABBA, which has taken Swedish music to the global stage for 50 years."

The King and Queen have been fans of ABBA ever since their wedding in 1976. The band had serenaded them with their hit "Dancing Queen" at the time, and Carl Gustaf of Sweden said: "This song has accompanied us ever since."

Since the 1990s, Anni-Frid has been close friends with the royal couple. Her ex-husband used to be friends with the future King when they were kids. Anni-Frid has also been involved in Queen Silvia's charity work for a long time.

ABBA made history in the past fifty years with their music. Some of their most popular tunes include "Waterloo," "Mamma Mia," "Dancing Queen," and "Thank you for the Music."

In 1974, ABBA won the Grand Prix Eurovision (now ESC) with their song

Lately, Björn Ulvaeus stated that their success with "Waterloo" was quite a challenge: "It was extremely difficult to make a breakthrough outside Sweden back then. I think Eurovision was the only way to go."
