Community investigation - Abandoned newborn found in a restroom at a Hamburg medical facility.
A tiny infant was discovered in a clinic's restroom for visitors in Hamburg, a German city. A trauma surgeon made the startling discovery of the newborn, who was less than a day old, at the Heidberg Clinic in the Langenhorn region. Police revealed this information on a Tuesday.
It's believed the baby girl was in good health and had only been alive for less than 24 hours. Additionally, there's speculation that she wasn't born in a hospital. The event occurred at the beginning of October. Despite the ongoing investigation by Hamburg's Criminal Investigation Bureau, there's still no clear suspect.
The Infant's Sleeping Bag
The picture of the grayish sleeping bag decorated with hearts in which the baby was found has now been released by the police. The healthy baby was later handed over to the emergency services for children and young people after a short stay in hospital.
