Investigate within National Park Area - A young man from Germany has been missing in Argentina for several days.
Julia Horn is a new volunteer for an educational organization in San Juan, Argentina, having joined them in April. She checked out of her accommodation on Thursday to head for the popular mountain "Cerro Tres Marias," situated in the local national park. Most likely, she became lost on her way there.
Up north in Argentina, winter sets in, bringing cold temperatures of 5 degrees Celsius during the day and close-to-freezing at night. The search for the missing German woman had to be halted on Sunday at 8 pm due to unfavorable weather conditions but resumed by Monday morning. Regrettably, so far, there has been no sign of her in the rough, rugged landscape, filled with gullies and caves.
Now, the army has joined the search, along with San Juan police, mountain specialists, firefighters, disaster relief teams, army troops, and search dogs.
The "Youth for Understanding" (YFU) organization, which the 19-year-old is linked to, released a statement saying, "The search continues with several rescue teams and drones, and we hope to find Julia soon. On behalf of her parents, we would like to thank the community, the government of San Juan, the authorities, and the rescuers for all their efforts."
