A teenager has been sentenced to eight years in prison for killing an 82-year-old woman.

A 25-year-old former neighbor was found guilty of murder and robbery that led to death, according to the court's spokesperson. The woman's apartment had traces of the accused's DNA, and the prosecution sought a 10-year prison sentence. The defense asked for acquittal, but since the case was appealed by the prosecution, the Federal Court of Justice overturned the initial judgment and sent it to the Neuruppin district court. Additionally, the court found that the legal process had been unfairly extended, shortening the convicted man's sentence by three months. The final verdict has not been issued yet.
