Prince Harry and Meghan Markle move to California. - A suspected money launderer funded her journey to Nigeria.
It appears Prince Harry (39) and wife Meghan (42)'s journey to Nigeria sparked some issues for King Charles (75) and heir to the throne, William (41). The pair seemed to act as though they were on an official government visit, even though they haven't been active members of the royal family since 2020. The Mirror shares that Charles and William were furious about this.
To make matters worse, more revelations about the Sussexes' Nigeria trip are coming to light. The Daily Mail reports that the flights provided by a Nigerian airline's founder for Harry and Meghan were financed by a wanted money launderer in the USA.
The individual accused is Allen Onyema (60), the founder of Air Peace, a Nigerian airline. He extended the flights to Harry and Meghan without charging them a cent. Unfortunately, the Daily Mail states that there are 27 charges related to alleged fraud involving millions of dollars against this lawyer.
In the 2019 indictment, Onyema is accused of falsifying documents to launder more than $20 million from Nigeria, using his position as a prominent business leader and airline executive to carry out this crime. His right-hand man at Air Peace, Ejiroghene Eghagha, was also charged with bank fraud and identity theft. Both repeatedly deny these accusations.
It remains unclear whether Harry and Meghan were aware of the allegations against their generous Nigerian friend. However, it's known that they were treated like royalty. An Air Peace spokesperson told the Daily Mail: "The planes were chartered." This means they flew alone, without other passengers. The spokesperson shared: "We gave them first-class treatment onboard. They were given everything they wanted. It was an exclusive experience." This is undoubtedly causing even more drama.
