Scaling the heritage structure - A stroller becomes lodged in an old Nazi bunker.
This past weekend, the Mühldorfer Hart forest witnessed a harrowing incident. A man who went to this area with friends on Whitsunday to ride a Qad, a type of four-wheeled motorcycle, climbed over the ruins of an old Nazi bunker for a break.
A dangerous trap: there were leftovers of old construction steel in the hole, and the 37-year-old ended up ramming a reinforcing bar into his body.
His friends called for assistance. Since the accident site is hard to access, rescuers from the Ampfingen fire department arrived from the Rottal-Inn district to save the man.
The severely injured man had to be hoisted by the rescue helicopter Christoph 15 from Straubing using a cable winch and was flown to Traunstein Hospital.
![Now, the remains of the Mühldorfer Hart bunker serve as a memorial for concentration camp victims. However, visiting the place can be hazardous due to the leftover debris. The ruins of the Mühldorfer Hart bunker are now a concentration camp memorial. But exploring the site is dangerous because of the old rubble](https://cdn.aussiedlerbote.de/content/images/2024/05/20/277795/jpeg/4-3/1200/75/the-ruins-of-the-muhldorfer-hart-bunker-are-now-a-concentration-camp-memorial-but-exploring-the-site-is-dangerous-because-of-the-old-rubble.webp)
