Görlitz: A City Rich in History and Culture - A smuggler, aged 39, was apprehended at a city bridge.
A 39-year-old Latvian man, driving a car with a Latvian license plate, encountered the Federal Border Police at around 9:40 pm due to the reinstated border checks. The windows at the back of his vehicle were covered with a dark fabric. Along with the driver, there were four undocumented individuals found inside: two 30-year-old Syrians, a 19-year-old Syrian, and two 32-year-old and 22-year-old Yemenis.
Though the Latvian man had a valid passport, he was lacking a driver's license. Consequently, he faces charges for defying border regulations and driving with an invalid driver's license. On Monday morning, the Police nabbed three Indians and a Jordanian at the Görlitz city bridge in Bad Muskau.
