Dortmund's secret friendly match ahead of their Champions League final match against Real Madrid (June 1) took place on a Saturday morning at 11:04 a.m. Their opponents were none other than Dortmund's U23 team (3rd division).
The unexpected guest: famous rapper Loredana (28) attended the event in Brackel. She enthusiastically supported her boyfriend Karim Adeyemi (22) on the training ground's rooftop.
The famous pop culture artist (also part of the DSDS jury) beamed at the cameras and enjoyed a private view of the game alongside Adeyemi's friend Ben. She even shared a photo of Adeyemi with heart emojis. Media outlets, however, were not allowed to attend.
However, the moment Adeyemi was replaced in the second half, Loredana also left the venue - around 12:20 p.m., she drove off in a white Mercedes.
The line-up for the first half: Kobel - Wolf, Süle, Schlottereck, Maatsen - Can, Brandt - Adeyemi, Reus, Malen - Füllkrug. The backup goalkeeper Meyer from the U23s played as the goalie.
In the second half: Kobel - Ryerson, Hummels, Süle, Wätjen - Nmecha, Özcan - Bynoe-Gittens, Brandt, Sancho - Moukoko. Star player Sabitzer was replaced later.
The extent to which Dortmund took this test match seriously was apparent in the presence of two line judges for the in-house game. Team strategists Sebastian Kehl and Sven Mislintat were also present on the sidelines.
The players will now enjoy a two-day break before the final week kicks off on Tuesday with the media day in Dortmund.
