Intensification of conflict in Magdeburg. - A group of young people brutally murdered a 33-year-old man.
Late one Friday night, around 1:15 AM, a conflict erupted between two men strolling on the streets of Magdeburg. They were near a prefab housing project on the intersection of Scharnhorstring and Bruno-Taut-Ring. The motive behind the altercation remains unclear.
Soon after, a group of attackers surprised the men, launching a sudden assault on them. The victims managed to escape, but the injuries sustained in the attack were enough for them to call the emergency services. Both individuals were rushed to the hospital, but the 33-year-old's injuries proved to be life-threatening. He underwent surgery that same night, succumbing to his injuries four days later.
The police are actively probing into this attempted murder. An autopsy will help determine the precise cause of the man's death. They have interrogated the three suspects multiple times since the brutal attack took place. One of the suspects was considered for arrest by the police, but this request was denied by the court.
