Fire-setting - A fire incident at an asylum facility left two people hurt.
Two employees, one from Kazakhstan and the other from Algeria, were in charge of securing the refugee facility. They were startled at 2:15 a.m. by smoke billowing from a shared room.
Upon investigation, they found that a pillow was on fire. The duo attempted to quell the flames using a fire extinguisher, but they both ended up inhaling smoke.
Firefighters then stepped in to finish the task, while medical personnel tended to the injured individuals. The police took charge of the investigation. Their initial suspicions point to a resident at the facility as the culprit, deliberately setting the pillow ablaze. The damages were estimated at approximately 500 euros.
