In Switzerland, the Simmental breed is thriving. - A driver of a Ferrari car takes a dip in this location.
A witness claims that a man drove his Ferrari into the River Simme in the Swiss Simmental valley between Zweisimmen and Boltigen at around 3:30 p.m. on a Tuesday afternoon. The 21-year-old described the incident to "20 Minuten," saying the driver lost control in a 80-meter stretch and ended up in the river.
The man reportedly clung to his silver sports car for 40 minutes before rescue arrived. He never managed to get from the Ferrari to the riverbank. While the current pulled him left and right, he stood in the passenger door frame in disbelief.
The accident that led to the driver's wet landing is believed to have been caused by a collision with another car. The Bern cantonal police report it as an accident, but the specifics of what caused the crash are still unknown. Both drivers were taken to the hospital.
