Velbert: A Town to Explore - A cyclist riding a pedelec collides with a 55-year-old man.
Around 8 a.m., a man was walking his dog on a road shared by bikes and pedestrians near the house number 26 on Ewald-Jochem-Straße. As he was passing a waste disposal vehicle owned by the city, a man on a pedelec came by and accidentally brushed against him, leaving a mark on his arm. The cyclist then jumped off his bike and assaulted the man by hitting him in the face.
Two city employees witnessed the aggression and tried to detain the assailant, but he escaped on his bike, heading towards Velbert. Despite an intensive search, the police failed to locate the perpetrator. The cyclist is believed to be a male, around 1.80 meters tall, between 50 and 60 years old, with brown-grey hair and a three-day beard. He was wearing a green hoodie, dark jeans, and a black and white helmet.
