Authorities seek individuals who may have observed the events in Rosenheim. - A 31-year-old male sustains severe injuries from an acid assault.
The police are currently seeking any potential witnesses to a gruesome assault that took place in Rosenheim, Bavaria. The incident happened at around 10 pm on Monday evening. Police details suggest that someone rang the doorbell of an apartment in Pernauerstraß. When the 31-year-old tenant answered the door, they were met by an intruder who poured a corrosive acid mixture into the victim's face.
The attacker manages to escape undetected
The assailant, clad in dark clothing and a balaclava, quickly fled the scene and remains unidentified.
The victim was treated by emergency services at a local clinic. However, the enormity of the injuries sustained near his eyes hints towards potential, permanent damages resulting from this heinous crime.
The investigators have carried out extensive questioning of the victim's neighbors. They have also examined the liquid used in the attack by the Bavarian State Office of Criminal Investigation. However, despite their best efforts, this crime remains unsolved. It's for this reason that the police are now asking for help from any individuals who were in the area of Pernauerstraße at around 9 pm to 10 pm on the 13th of May. They urge anyone with relevant information to contact 08031 / 2000.
