Accused sought for focus camp and Nazi rule. - A 27-year-old neo-Nazi plotted assaults targeting Jews, Muslims, and Green Party members.
The charge: "Preparing a serious act of violence that could have endangered the country." An individual from a neo-Nazi background has been present in front of the Frankfurt district court since 10 a.m. on a Tuesday, wearing jeans and a T-shirt, showing a blank and absent expression. The main public prosecutor, Michael Loer, details the accusation: "The defendant is undoubtedly a right-wing extremist and sought to establish a government similar to that of the National Socialists under Adolf Hitler."
Absolutely incredible: he supposedly desired concentration camps as well.
Loathing of Jews, Muslims, left-wingers, and Greens
Marcel L. is accused of planning for a "Day X," as outlined in the indictment, where he intended to eliminate Jews, Muslims, Green party politicians, leftists, and people from the LGBTQ+ community through bombings and shootings.
Senior public prosecutor Loer states: "His goal was to purge the FRG of subhumans."
World War II bomb with 68 kilograms of explosives
When the SEK searched the apartments and garden plots of N. and two terrorist associates on April 14, 2023, they discovered illicit drugs, Nazi devotional items, ammo, an Israeli Uzi-MP, grenades, various detonator triggers, and a German fragmentation bomb "SD 2." This bomb was suspended from the ceiling by nylon rope.
The fragmentation bomb required detonation in a controlled fashion at the accused's home in the Bergen-Enkheim district of Frankfurt.
They also uncovered a US bomb from World War II in a barn. With 68 kilograms of TNT mixture, it was able to obliterate entire buildings and potentially kill hundreds of people.
The three individuals raised suspicions due to their use of devices meant to find weapons and explosives in abandoned ammunition depots. A significant discovery was made in the former Wehrmacht ammunition depot in Münster, southern Hesse.
The two accomplices were released after the search. Neo-Nazi Marcel L. faces a potential ten-year prison sentence. The trial continues.
