Amidst the bustling city of Dortmund, - 15-year-old Ukrainian boy assaulted with a knife
In the evening, a young Ukrainian joined two friends in Dortmund's infamous Nordstadt area. Around 9 pm, they had a chat with two ladies. This didn't sit well with some local youths, and a brawl ensued. Things escalated quickly when one of the guys whipped out a knife.
The friends managed to get away from the scene. The Ukrainian, severely injured, dragged himself for a kilometer through Dortmund before collapsing. A passing emergency doctor raced to his aid and worked tirelessly to save the youth on the street. A rapid response ambulance transported the badly wounded man to a local hospital.
The authorities are putting in extra effort to locate the culprit, with a homicide unit handling the investigation. The Ukrainian boy's health condition has now stabilized.
